About the Project
CARDNO, an ASX-listed professional infrastructure and environmental services company, renowned for its global contributions to the development and improvement of physical and social infrastructure partnered with Prima Commercial Fitouts to fitout their new headquarters.This project involved relocating Cardno’s workspace from a 650 sqm office on the Sunshine Coast to the innovative Foundation Place Building in the heart of the new Maroochydore City Centre.
This move signified CARDNO’s commitment to adapting to the evolving dynamics of modern workplaces, especially in the post-COVID era, and its relevance as a major Australian company leading the growth of the Maroochydore CBD.

The Brief
As pioneers in creating sustainable projects and community programs, CARDNO sought a commercial office fitout that reflected its ethos of innovation and sustainability. Working in collaboration with COX Architecture, the goal was to design a workspace that not only caters to the functional demands of their diverse team of leading professionals — who plan, design, manage, and deliver significant projects — but also promotes flexibility, collaboration, and well-being, aligning with the hybrid work model.

The highlight of the new CARDNO office is undoubtedly the Kitchen & Breakout Area, strategically positioned at the entrance. This design choice serves as a warm welcome to all, inviting them into the social heart of the office where ideas bloom, connections strengthen, and collaboration thrives.
