Prima Proudly Supporting the 2025 STEPS Grand Winter Ball

Prima has always believed in backing things that matter, and for us, the STEPS Grand Winter Ball is one of them.

This year, we’re honoured to be the Presenting Partner for an event that we’ve proudly supported for many years. We don’t support it for the recognition, we’ve seen the impact of the work STEPS does, and we believe in being part of it.

The Ball raises funds for STEPS Pathways College, an initiative tackling social inclusion head-on, helping young Australians with disabilities and autism live independently. It’s practical, holistic, and life-changing, not just for the students, but for their families and communities too.

Over the years, we’ve been grateful to meet some incredible people through this event. Families working hard behind the scenes. Business owners using their influence to make a difference. Educators, mentors, and young people doing the hard work of building their futures. It’s a reminder that real change doesn’t happen in isolation.  It takes effort, trust, and a community that shows up.

This year’s Ball will welcome the award-winning journalist and author Melissa Doyle as the new Ambassador for STEPS Pathways College.  Her support shines a light on STEPS’ work and the young people at the centre of it. We’re looking forward to sharing the evening with her in what we hope will be the most successful fundraising event to date for the College.

Prima managing director, Brendan Wavell-Smith,  often shares a quote from the Dalai Lama that really drives our commitment to STEPS home:

“I believe that to meet the challenge of our times, human beings will have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility.”

It’s this shared belief that guides a lot of what we do – not just as a business, but as people. We can’t do everything, but we can do something. Supporting STEPS is one way we put that belief into practice.

We’re looking forward to another special night and to continuing to support work that builds something lasting.
