When Colour Capital secured the rights for Gold’s Gym in Australia and New Zealand, they envisioned creating a flagship gymnasium that would stand as a beacon of fitness and community.
Their journey led them to Prima Commercial Fitouts for the ambitious task of converting a Brisbane Target store into Gold’s Gym’s Australian flagship in Kippa-Ring—a project that promised to redefine gym spaces in the region.

The Brief
The project kickstarted with an exciting directive from Gold’s Gym Australia’s COO, Glen Farrow, who presented a vision to emulate the world-renowned Gold’s Gym Berlin facility in Brisbane. This ambitious brief set the stage for a collaboration that spanned continents and industries, uniting Prima’s expertise in design and construction with the operational prowess of Gold’s Gym and the nutritional expertise of Raw Energy.
The Result
Despite the challenges posed by a building industry in crisis, the combined efforts of the dedicated project teams, including the landlord’s team from QIC, culminated in the successful opening of Gold’s Gym Brisbane on 20th January 2022. The facility not only serves as a premier fitness destination but also a testament to the collaborative spirit and shared vision of all parties involved.
This partnership has paved the way for further exciting ventures between Prima and Gold’s Gym Australia, promising more innovative spaces designed to inspire fitness communities across the region.
